I began my work experience with women and their families experiencing the effects of cancer and domestic violence. I draw on the principles of Family Systems, Narrative, Feminist, DBT/CBT and Existential therapies. The goal of this approach is to balance acceptance and change in a powerful way that transforms coping skills that have ceased to work into a new set of skills that foster authenticity, empowerment and a belief in life worth living.
As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate I am required to be supervised by a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor. My supervisor is Cheyenne Corbett, LMFT, PhD and can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or 919-684-4497. As part of my supervision I will participate in case consultation periodically for training purposes.
