Margaret Albert, LCMHC
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor
You may need to be heard, find direction or discover your inner strength as you navigate life’s transitions and challenges. My belief is that you have the power within to change and renew hope for your future. Therapy is a partnership, and as your therapist, I serve as a guide by using Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, EMDR and supportive grief counseling to help you find a path to healing. Whether you are an adult, adolescent or child, therapy is driven by your expressed goals, and the more engaged you are in the process, the more likely you will experience a positive outcome.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
My integrative approach to therapy is grounded in cognitive behavior therapy, and may incorporate motivational interviewing, mindfulness, skill building or solution focused therapy. For clients who have experienced trauma, my approach may include EMDR or trauma-focused CBT.
My background includes working with adults, adolescents and children, providing community-based mental health therapy for individuals and families throughout Wake and Durham Counties. I have also been providing grief counseling with hospice, for the past four years, serving as a facilitator for our children’s grief camp and adult support groups.
