I would describe my style as supportive and empowering, and gentle while  challenging. My philosophy on the client/therapist relationship is that it is a partnership in which both parties are open and honest. I incorporate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to assist clients in developing a psychological flexibility to adapt to situations while being guided by their values.  As a therapist, it is my job to help facilitate this process while understanding how difficult it can be to process unpleasant thoughts and/or feelings.  I find success occurs most often when clients are motivated in and out of session to work on accomplishing goals.

I would describe my style as supportive and empowering, gentle while confronting or challenging, while frequently incorporating humor. My philosophy on the client/therapist relationship is that it is a partnership in which both parties are open and honest. As a therapist, it is my job to help guide the process. However, success occurs when clients are motivated in and out of session to make wanted changes.
