I began my counseling career in 2010, providing individual, couples and family therapy to children, adolescents and adults. I’ve worked in the schools, community-based nonprofit agencies and the traditional office setting, serving clients of all ages.  I am professionally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques as well as trauma-focused strategies and the Gottman Method, a research-based approach to healthy committed partnerships. I have extensive experience working with survivors of trauma and abuse, and also spent time working with children, teens and their families in foster care. I have a strong interest in helping people thrive despite their traumatic past, in particular adult survivors of childhood abuse. I am also passionate about helping people achieve healthy relationship connections, whether that includes couples working through communication and trust issues, parents struggling with their children’s emotional and behavioral concerns, or helping clients heal old wounds.

I served briefly as a middle school counselor, volunteered extensively in the public schools while I spent time at home to raise my three children, and have six years active duty service as an officer in the United States Air Force. My unique blend of careers has afforded me the ability to be especially attuned to the complex challenges of daily life. I look forward to meeting you, and helping you discover your inner strengths and apply them towards achieving a happier, more meaningful life.
