Amanda Goodwin, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Do you want to be empowered to create change in your life? Pain is inevitable but suffering is optional. My treatment philosophy is founded on providing a safe and trusting therapeutic environment for clients, in which change can occur. Whether you want to feel better about yourself, have a more positive view in life, learn to communicate better, or to deal with stress more effectively, my role as a therapist is to be a guide for and with you on the road to healing. I believe everyone has intrinsic value and that change can happen with the right tools, and the right support. I would be honored to begin this journey with you.

MA in Social Work Boston College

I am a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the field.  I believe strongly in meeting clients where they are and helping them get to where they want to be.  From the first session, I work hard to build a rapport with clients.  Through my own experience of success in therapy, I have seen how valuable this process can be.
I have training in specific treatment modalities including CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, and DBT informed therapy.  I am passionate about providing faith based counseling to those who are interested, as I believe one’s faith can be a huge strength from which to draw.
